In early June of 2026 we will be hosting our first ever "Tarpon Camp" with the Homosassa Guide Association. Homosassa is a longstanding location for all those who want to chase the "Silver King" and learn about its rich history in the sport.
We will be working hard to build an experience that is immersive and meaningful.
Here’s what we have planned:

Travel Information
TPA – Tampa International Airport~75 miles / 1 hour 20 minutes to Homosassa
GNV – Gainesville Regional Airport~80 miles / 1 hour 30 minutes to Homosassa
MCO – Orlando International Airport~105 miles / 2 hours to Homosassa
Flexible Departure: Fly out the evening of the 10th or stay through Thursday morning to squeeze the most out of your time. We’re happy to help plan additional activities if you want to extend your trip.
For those interested in tarpon in homosassa I fished there 9 days in May and June, hooked and jumped several tarpon. If you have never fished there it is an awesome place, one of my favorite in FL, as I have fished nearly 20 days there (crystal river & homosassa) in the past year. With a senior in high school this year, June isn’t gonna work for me but don’t let some of the stories of homosassa yester year deter you, they are wrong. I will be fishing it in May 10 days!!
