Everglades Camp February 19-23 & 23-27 2026
MORE INFORMATION COMING

This one needed to happen sooner rather than later.
In February of 2026 we will be starting our year in the historic Florida Everglades. We have partnered with local guide, and legend, Brian Esposito to assemble a top notch guide team to chase after snook, redfish...and maybe a few silver species as well. (Listen to my podcast with Brian HERE).
Here’s what we have planned:

Three Full Days: Guided fishing
Four Nights Lodging: We rented an awesome spot that is right in the mix of Everglades City, has a plenty of space.

There’s something special about the Everglades in late February. Winter cold fronts have started to ease, but the crowds of spring breakers haven’t yet arrived. The weather is often dry and comfortable, with cool mornings and warm afternoons—ideal for long runs through mangrove mazes and backwater bays. This window brings some of the best conditions for targeting snook, redfish, and possibly even tarpon as they begin to show up in warmer pockets. It’s a time of transition, when the fish are active, the bugs are minimal, and the landscape feels raw, wild, and alive.

We’ll be staying at a spacious stilted home located right in the heart of Everglades City. This waterfront property sits directly on a private canal and includes a screened-in porch, fish cleaning station, and plenty of space to relax and recharge after a day on the water. With four bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, and modern amenities, it strikes the perfect balance between comfort and rugged charm. Whether you're sharing stories over dinner, enjoying a drink on the deck, or watching the sun fade behind the mangroves, this house puts you right in the mix of the Everglades experience—laid back, connected to the water, and built for good company.

Recommended Reading: "Totch: A Life in the Everglades"
There is no shortage of writings on the lore of the South Florida paradise that is the Everglades. Our lead guide, Brian Espisitto recommended me this book and it is chalk full of stories, history, and insights. I highly recommend anyone going on the trip read this before we arive. It will help the waters come alive.
