Golden Isles Redfish Camp
Flood tides, porch guitars, and barbecue pizza in Brunswick, Georgia.
We brought the club to Georgia’s Golden Isles to chase redfish in the marsh. Between thunderstorms and changing tides, we found plenty to keep us occupied: tying flies back at the house, exploring Brunswick, and figuring out how much pulled pork belonged on a pizza.
Here’s a look at the fishing, the people, and everything we got into along the way.

This was our view of the Sidney Lanier Bridge. We had an amazing rental house that featured a game-room, small pool, access to the water, and multiple porches. It was the perfect setup for this trip.

Camp Hand, Bailey, takes a well earned celebratory cannon ball. Score 8/10

One of the biggest highlights was some incredible southern cooking from our very own, Chef DeJuan Roy.
Connor enjoys some Frigat Rum and coconut water waiting on the tide to come in.

Brunswick is a small coastal town. It feels like a small Charleston with fewer croweds and a more laid back pace. We spent a decent bit of time this trip exploring the city and learning about its history and culture.

Brunswick had some great local spots for us to grab supplies for the weekend. We walked around at First Friday, enjoyed some drinks at Silver Bluff Brewing, and got some honey from the Savannah Bee Company. The Mexican Lager and Beekeeper DIPA were hits back at camp. We used Hootenanny's BBQ for boat sandwiches and pizza topings. If you are ever visiting, make sure to give those places a look.
We did not skimp on the experience back at the house. We do a big pizza night at all of our camps, and have hosted them all across the southeast, Louisiana, and even Montana. We often source our dough locally. The Broomelli Boys had the best dough yet. Major kudos.

Brunswick was filled with birds, wildlife, and even wild horses (look it up). This beautiful Spoonbill was pushed out of his fishing spot and glided across the edge of a Spartina grass flat.

Shrimp scatter during low tide. Throughout the weekend we had some great low-tide fishing as redfish worked bait stuck in shallow creeks.

Bobby earned the nickname "Ninja" after putting on a clinic on catching redfish. He takes a break on the bow to give an unamed guide some unsolicitted dating advice. The guide was not listening.

The flood tide presents a unique oppurtunity for redfish to access flats filled with crabs, grasshopper, and even mice.

Jared DiVincent did what he needed to do to get his grip-and-grin photo for the trip. Haters will say it was AI.

We wrapped up our trip with a roundtable discussion about the Golden Isles, trip highlights, and some helpful tips for chasing redfish in the flood tide.
