East End Lodge Bahamas June 10-14 [ 2 SPOTS REMAINING]

"Back to the Bahamas"

On June 10-14th we will be heading to Grand Bahama to fish with East End Lodge (Check them out HERE).

One of the things that excited me about these dates was finding out that we were the spot following Aaron Adams of the Bonefish Tarpon Trust. Never a bad sign.

I am going to look into seeing if Aaron would be willing to stay an extra night and give us some time to do a seminar or workshop!

June is a great time to chase Bonefish and Permit. We will be sharing more about flies, tackle, etc. in this forum as we get everything set!

Rods (AKA Spots): We will be having 8-10 depending on interest within the club.

Price: We are iroining out the exact final number but this trip will be around $4,000. We feel confident that if it is more than that it will not be much more. We will have a hard number before we enter 2025.

Airfare: Flights are not included in the price. I will be discussing flight options with several contacts. Our group that flew to Soul Fly in November of 2024 really enjoyed the hassle free nature of flying Makers Air. I will keep all that information up to date as it unfolds.

Gear: For bonefish you will want a 7 to 8 weight. For permit it is good to have a 10 but you can get away with a 9. We are going to be building a "rod locker" for the club this Spring which will allow members to request and test certain rods and save them some money so they don't have to buy a rod they don't currently have.

Flies: We will include some information on flies in this post but we will leave @Chase Hancock to that!

*We are happy to put together a Drifter Fly Box if you would like to have everything taken care off. Please contact our Club Fly Expert Chase@DrifterFishClub.com to get an arraingement that meets your needs.

East End has some amazing facilities and is one of the "more affordable" options in the Bahamas (all things considered).

Can't you just picture yourself in this gazebo, after a full day of fishing, blowing shots on bonefish (and permit), and hoping on the phone to talk to your wife and explain "It's not all about catching fish."

On these types of trips we are always happy to secure single occupancy for you if you would like, but East End has some pretty spacious rooms. There is a reason we ask everyone "Do you snore?" and then follow it up with "Did you lie about snoring?"

I can already hear the end-of-the-day-derbiefs going on. Hard to beat a great porch!
