iCast Recap

Hi everyone,
I wanted to continue the series of gear updates with some of the cool things I noticed in touring iCast this past week. There were plenty of cool new products coming out over the next few quarters and I wanted to highlight a few things I found quite interesting and I will be looking at buying.

Sea Secure Trolling Motor Lock: Click to Buy $99
Description: Truly game-changing: the first-of-its-kind Grade 5 Titanium Trolling Motor Lock Assembly—engineered to work with multiple quick release brackets. No more rust stains, No more seized locks, No more clunky padlocks scratching your gelcoat. Just a sleek, corrosion-proof solution that secures with a custom bolt-style key—simple, clean, and built to last.
Early Thoughts: This is a great solution to the flaws that exist with the current existing options. Regular locks rust, seize or can easily be cut. This compact titanium option alleviates all of those concerns and still looks good on the skiff.

move fish hook Saves valuable fishing time and money keeping you and your companions in the field and on the water saving you on costly medical expenses for Hook removal.
Early Thoughts: This thing could be the difference between staying out on the water and a trip to urgent care. I think it is certainly worth the addition to the first aid kit when whipping hooks around like we do.

CoolerPak Ice Pack: Click to Buy $30-45
Description: Refillable, reusable and space-saving. When not in use, drain and pack it away. Designed to work with all coolers. Secure to cooler wall with snap screws or leave free-standing. Ditch messy ice and bulky packs for an eco-friendly cooling upgrade. Add potable water to freeze and get safe drinking water once melted.
Early Thoughts: This is something I have already purchased while at the show. It fixes an issue where I was previously having to use multiple ice packs to fill my Yeti cooler as I didn’t want to buy ice for every trip. Now I can pull this out of my deep freezer and snap it on the base and I am good to go with an ice pack that perfectly fits on the side or bottom.
Overall iCast was a great experience getting to hang out with some of the club members I have met from past trips and getting to meet a few new ones. We got to meet legends like Flip Pallot, Andy Mill & Guy Harvey. Hunter and Chase had the crew connected with countless other guides and brands throughout the convention. A special shout out to SWC for letting us blend in to their home base and I am excited for their Spring 2026 line of oysterman shirts and the revamped drifter pants coming out as well.
Until the next review Tight Lines!
